Centennial is a relative new City; it was formed in February 2001 and located in Arapahoe County.  The City name reflects Colorado’s admission to the Union as the 38th state in 1876 which was the Centennial year of the United States Declaration of Independence.  Centennial has a population of more than 100,000 and, when formed, was the largest incorporation in U.S. history.  The city, Centennial occasionally causes confusion—mailing addresses designated as “Aurora”, “Englewood” or “Littleton” may actually be located in Centennial; however, Centennial and Englewood do not share a boundary, while some portions of Centennial are surrounded by Aurora and vice versa.  Most of Centennial is within the Cherry Creek Public Schools, while the western portion of Centennial is in the Littleton Public Schools.

According to September 2016, Money Magazine, Centennial was ranked one of the Best place to live!  It has a strong job market, 300 days of sunshine, over 2,500 acres of open space, parks, and offers easy commute.  Commuters can easily get to Denver on light rail in just 35 minutes, while the Denver Tech Center, a hub for tech and telecomm firms are approximately 10 minutes away. Although Centennial does not offer a historic downtown, Centennial offers great shops, restaurants at the Streets at SouthGlenn, and enjoy time at Topgolf!  Centennial is a fabulous place to live!
